In February of 1946 The Wills family opened a NASH automobile dealership on Shoshone St. in Twin Falls. World War ll had recently ended. Bob and Hank Wills, sons of E.J. Wills, were home after being Air Force pilots stationed in Europe during the war. The three of them became the founders of Wills Motor Company. In 1960, Bob and Hank's younger brother Ernie joined the company, eventually buying his father E.J.'s interest out. Oldest brother Lowell also joined in selling cars for the dealership, before pursuing a real estate career.

Of course over the years, Nash became Rambler, and Rambler became AMC (American Motors Corp). During this time, the dealership also added other lines: Willys (which became Jeep) - Plymouth - and, in 1965, Toyota.

In 1975, Hank's son Greg joined the company. In 1984 Ernie's son Chris came aboard. Greg (President) and Chris (GM/VP) became Co-Owners and Partners in 2008. Greg's son Hank has been with the company since 2013. In 2020 Chris retired and Hank became General Manager, Vice President and Co-Owner. In 1991 Wills sold their Jeep franchise, and became a single point Toyota dealer. 2015 marked 50 years as a Toyota dealer and 2023 marked being in business as a local dealer for 77 years.

Wills has always been a believer in Downtown Twin Falls and elected to keep the dealership there. They completed a beautiful addition and remodel where the facility now encompasses over 36,000 square feet of floor space under one roof. The area where the original showroom was is now a new vehicle display area. Whereas the original dealership only had 75' of frontage on Shoshone St., the total area now encompasses nearly two full blocks.
